what is RPG?
RPG is a Role-Play Game, where you make posts that come from your characters' perspectives. This site is a Warrior Cats RPG, where you can RP multiple characters who are cats, or other animals, depending on the plot we're having. The whole thing is a game, though. We want to have fun in RPGs by meeting other people, posting with them, and making the sites fun!
how do you RP?
Role-playing is simple, and is basically pretending you are the author of your characters' stories. In role-playing games, it helps other members by being especially detailed with your posts. It helps to write about anything that might occur to your character, including their feelings, thoughts, responses, surroundings, or appearance. You could also mention any changes in either of these that may occur in the event taking place. But no matter how other people may make their posts flashy and professional, remember to be yourselves and post in ways that make you happy!
what is the plot?
Plots are the main events taking place in the RPG that affect every character in some way. I'll make sure to keep looking out for plots and the current plot will always be posted on the left side of the site.
Plots will be chosen by the staff members, but all members' plot ideas will be considered and chosen depending on the dramatic events and probable participation of everybody. Even if we're having a plot, feel free to send ideas to me and I'll make sure the other staff members see it for later consideration.
Why just the staff members and not the whole site? Well, I like to think it's a nice surprise for the site members to see the events unfold with the plot.
how do I join a clan?
To join a Clan, all you have to do is make a bio for your cat(s) in the Bio Creation Board. There is a thread there that contains the necessary requirements to a bio so you can either copy the code provided or make your own fancy-tastic bios that include the requirements.
You are not allowed to RP any characters until a Bio Checker or Admin has approved your bios and moved them to the Accepted Bios Board. We do this so that we can make sure that you know what you're doing.
can I make a cat in starclan?
You do not have to make bios for StarClan cats, but if you want to own some, please mention their names in another cat's bio. For example, you can mention that your tom's mother is dead in his bio and roleplay her in StarClan.
However, if you own a StarClan cat, there can't be constant visits to the living cats or talks of prophecies unless I permitted you to.
how do I get a mentor or apprentice?
If your cat is ready to become an apprentice, you can take a look at the Clan Stats board and look at the bios of cats to see which one would be the best mentor for your cat. Next, you PM the person who plays that cat and ask if they want to be your cat's mentor. If the player responds yes, you PM the leader of your cat's Clan to make a ceremony. If the player responds no, you can keep looking for mentors.
If you want any kind of ceremony for your cats, just PM the leader of the Clan.
what is prey?
The Prey takes the place of karma points on Proboards sites, where you can exalt (Catch) good karma or smite (Snatch) it from that user. Other sites tend to use the karma option for shops, but I think it's best used for just appreciating the members of the site. DON'T decide to just snatch all of the prey from other people. I may ban the option altogether if I see misuse of it.
