The dark gray she-cat heaved herself up onto the Rockpile, glancing around. Eyes narrowed, she scanned the camp. None of her warriors were awake yet? If they were, they were hiding. "Everybody on your feet, right now! Up! I'm forming all patrols right now!" Twistedstar screamed.

She whipped around to glare at Eaglestrike. Her lips curled up in a twisted smile. "Excellent. What a fine, brave warrior, up to arm almost immediately. You would be great as deputy. I'm not making any promises though, so don't get your hopes up."
Twistedstar then turned away, the wind ruffling her matted pelt. "Go find some others, preferrable two or three more. We need to bring in more prey for the kits, so they can become fine-muscled, intelligent warriors."

Eaglestrike's pelt warmed at the praise, although he knew that he shouldn't be expecting too much. He nodded as his leader said the command. He turned around and looked into each den, poking his head in slightly.
"Twistedstar's starting a patrol," he announced in each den. "Anyone who wants to come should come out now."

Twistedstar watched Eaglestrike, her twisted grin growing wider. She had a plan in the works. Her cats would be shocked, she was sure they would be.
